My wife and i are just about to pull the trigger on a 5 door volcanic orange S automatic, I have seen some cooper S models on you tube with paddle shifters, When we went to spec this options The computer told the salesmen that the JCW package needs to be speced, Is this a Canada only thing or can some one please explain, I have also seen some with the heads up display and no rear view camera, He said this also wasnt possible. Can some one please elaborate ?

It's probably just an interior package because you need the JCW steeringwheel if you want the paddles.

i have the auto S in the UK & can confirm you need the JCW steering wheel for the shift paddles. It will be country-specific as to whether this is part of the JCW interior pack or another pack option. for us in the UK it comes as std on the Cooper S auto with Chilli pack.

it's a very nice steering wheel, chunky with part leather and red stitching

Just to echo Hat re. the JCW steering wheel: very comfortable to drive with, even for extended periods. In Japan I only had to spec JCW steering to get the paddle shifts.

I hate the F56 JCW steeringwheel compared to my previous R52 real JCW steeringwheel. It was thicker and really soft. It felt awesome!

I'm pretty sure my JCW steering wheel is "real". Yes I just tried it and the car turns when I turn the wheel. I can confirm its "real"
