Thanks Patch, but I can't really see a difference between normally opened and fully opened, would you mind explaining the difference please?

Thanks so much for the pictures, it helps me make up my mind.

When you open the sunroof, by default it will open at roughly 90%. You can then re-press the open button to have it fully opened.

According to past cars experience, the first stop (at 90%) is usually the sweet spot where the wind isn't too disturbing at higher speed. Opening it at 100% is more for cruising downtown at slow speed.

By the way, I don't know if it related with the panoramic sunroof or not, but there is no dome light for the back seats. At night, that makes it hard to see anything on the back seat. I just had some fun getting my 2yo daughter out from her baby seat ;)

Small design flaw : I found that the rear sunscreen (when fully opened) rattles a bits on bumpy roads. Closing it an inch solved the rattle.

Just as a word of caution, it should be made clear that only the front portion tilts - unlike the version on the previous model where the front and rear sections tilted. This may not be an issue to most, but when I called into the dealership to collect mine recently - there was a lady who was expressing her disappointment, that no one had informed her that the design had changed !!

Hi, we have a Pano Roof in our F55

Im 6ft 1 and I've plenty of headroom in both front and rear seats (cant say if ifs more or less than earlier models as I had a MINI Convertible before)

At about 60MPH with roof open at 90% there is a little booming but not too bad at all and you can certainly hold a conversation with your passengers

Is it worth it ? Absolutely YES, I love the light it brings into the cabin.

I'm 6'5" and I fit nicely into it. Love the openness it brings to the interior. I think it's loud no matter what position it is opened to. But I think it's worth it.

The SO has one on her F56S. Im so totally jealous of it! I vape in my car, and she doesn't want hers to get all fogged up when I ride in hers. the windscreen that pops up really help to provide great ventilation with no noticeable climate impact.

I've noticed a rattling from the rear of my sunroof recently, more pronounced when the sunroof is open. The sound is like someone tapping a plastic ball-point pen against glass. Does this sound familiar?

I might try your suggestion of closing the shade slightly.

I shut off the stereo and had a listen earlier today... no rattling on mine with both sunscreens fully open. That being said I have experienced it on other cars and when I took it to the dealer they typically used some kind of black felt tape to try to solve it.
