Hey Oh wise mini-moguls--
Expecting to take delivery of a new JCW mid to end of next month-- Pedal foot is getting itchy--I understand during break-in to keep revs below 4500 and to avoid full pedal acceleration--etc--
But as that first 1000 mi portion of the break-in ends I now that you can begin to push the mill little harder-- but I would imagine only after engine is properly warmed up...So my question is: what are the opening temps ,coolant and oil for our little beast?

I don't have the temperature gauges in my JCW (that I know Of) but the manual states that you shouldn't use the Launch Control until you've driven at least 6 miles (from Memory). Personally I don't give it the beans until I've driven at least that, if not more.

Bet you can't wait - you'll love it when it arrives!

Thx-- good to know about Owner's Man-- I think Temp gages can be "installed" i.e. accesed via the Mini Connected App?
There is a minimal temp display in the speedo display that reads Low, Ok, or High. In MINI connected (on iPhone at least) there is a temp gauge in the sports instruments that gives and actual number, this is the one that I use.

My mum didn't break hers in - infact my dad drove it home from the dealership and when we got home all we could smell was hot metal and plastic, it's been fine so I wouldn't worry! Just have fun straight out the box.
