Hi,

Picked up my cooper today and got a very pleasant surprise, with winning the car all I new from the terms and conditions was it was a red cooper and that was the spec, so not expecting any extras. I was passing the dealer after hours and told it was in for prep a day or so earlier and had to stop and have a look... I found this car and thought.... that'll be mine.

So was in a very good mood when I picked up my car today to find this car with Media XL, Sat Nav, Cruise Control, Climate Control, Heated Seats, Parking Sensors, Auto Lights and Wipers and the Green > Sport Mode thing round the gear stick (forget the name) Safe to say im very very happy.

Now that is some prize!
Handing it back will be hard when the years up, unless I make them an offer for it

57 mpg

I am averaging 32 in my Cooper S, but hey if i wanted to save the planet i would have got on my bike.
Same here, I have a 14' Fiesta ST for warming the planet up, does about 37mpg which is respectable enough for the performance, most of my driving is to work which is a mere 6 miles and doesn't help economy matters but there capable of more on longer runs if you can resist the performance.

My Cooper is doing 45-47 .quite a few very short runs with some longer ones. I think you are therefore doing really well.

Thank You. Did leave it in green mode and relax on the motorway. I also found when going through average speed camera areas and using the limiter the economy was much poorer at 39-45mpg being restricted to 50mph than at 70mpg under my own control?

Oh no, sorry to hear that! my sister plays rugby and broke a bone in her hand over xmas last year which stopped her driving but she wont listen and loves playing it. Dont know whether the limiter hold it back as you have to floor the pedal to exceed the limiter in case of emergency, i suppose we can anticipate inclines and such etc and increase or decrease speed to make the car carry a smooth speed without struggling uphill or downhill without need for much acceleration or any at all sometimes
