Yes, but I think you need to have selected the "enhanced bluetooth" option. If you have this, when you pair the iPhone with the Mini you are offered separate options in the Settings - phone and audio. You need to check both to be able to stream music from the iPhone via Bluetooth.

My Mini comes with the Wired package (Professional nav 609, Bluetooth and USB 6NE, Mini Connected XL 6NT)
Will I be able to stream music from my iPhone 5 via bluetooth ?
Yes, you also have the option of a wired connection via the std iphone lightning/ usb cable that will give you internet radio and spotify through the mini connected app that you can download from the app store

Thanks !
I always wondered how the internet radio, Facebook, etc works... It's via the internet connection on your phone then I suppose ?
And with the std iphone cable, you mean the white cable that came with my iphone to charge it ?
(sorry, I'm not a very technical person :nerd: )

Yep correct in both cases. Anything youre getting from the net is via your phones data connection so it will be eating into your data allowance although from experience its not a heavy data usage for music

Enhanced Bluetooth not necessary (I don't have it) but I do recall seeing the settings for phone and audio.

If you have the standard media center you will not be able to stream music over bluetooth unless you get the "enhanced bluetooth" option.

@polarisboy386 that is incorrect in the UK. I do NOT have enhanced Bluetooth and I am able to stream music.
Same for the US. If you have Visual Boost, but no Media pack (ie: no enhanced bluetooth), you will be able to stream music, but no voice commands, Siri Eyes Free, or Office functions.

The UK may have slightly differing parts on that car.

If you have the most basic radio and can stream blue tooth, I am very jealous.

Hi just buying a Mini Cooper Coupe R58 2014 - JCW body kit.
The sales guy at car people didn't have a clue if I can play music via Bluetooth or if I need a cable. But one has no idea what cable I need and if I will be able to use my direction buttons on my steering wheel.
Can anyone help.
Cheers
