The better of me at the moment.
Pervious owner of a 2013 JCW that got stolen back in January
never to be seen again.

Dealer told me today my car is in production and will be with him 17/2/14
Has any one else got one on order?
If so what spec.

Called in at the dealers today. He is telling me delivery will be w/c 24/3/14
so hopefully the black wheels and roof wil look as good as I think.
The JCW in the avatar was a blast ,until someone stole it back in January..
I'll post pictures soon after delivery !!!!!!!

First Mini was a British Racing Green Cooper , last of the naturally aspirated versions.Unfortunately it fell over & was a write-off although I was completely unscathed.Followed this up with a couple of Pumas & after an exciting time with a C Max 2 litre Turbo, which was comfortable, but ultimately boring I obtained a fantastic low mileage 1st Gen Cooper in Hyper Blue.Fantastic fun.But the new spec on the F56 has enticed me to order a Cooper in Moonwalk Grey due here,hopefully,early June.

I have Moonwalk Grey MINI Cooper D 1.5 on order , I currently drive a Toyota Auris Hybrid which has been fantastically reliable but is just a little bit boring , it has averaged 54.2mpg over 64000 miles or so.

My previous car before the hybrid was a DMS modified BMW 120d which I was really sad to give up but the company car tax was getting ridiculous - hence the name CO2slave.


I do about 20,000 miles per year (commuting 50 miles each way to work )so I am hoping to get 60-65mpg from the Dooper and a whole lot more fun!

Car is scheduled for 10/6/14 but I am expecting there to be a delay from what has been discussed on this forum

I am a writer - the first screenplay is being re written by myself - the writer - and the Director of The Tick Tock Man

The second screenplay is on it's way and the third will join up shortly - all will be followed by a childrens book and by sometime next year my production company will be up and running.

Hi everyone. Ordered my first Mini just over a month ago to replace my current Audi A1 1.4 Sport. The A1 has been a great car but it's a little conservative, now ubiquitous and the ride is poor.

I've ordered a petrol Cooper in Moonwalk Grey with following options:

Chili Pack
Contrast roof and mirrors in black
Chrome exterior
Cosmos 17'' alloys in black
LED Headlights/DRLs
Glowing red interior trim
Mini Connected
Visual Boost radio

Production delays are very frustrating but I'd rather have a sorted car than a complete lemon. Still, a near 2-3 month wait is killing me!

The A1 is a nice car, but like the conclusion that you've reached, perhaps not exciting enough. The new S1 looks great though....

I have a red mini cooper s on order. This is going to be my first car I am buying so really excited. Its a pity South Africa is taking so long to get the cars.

Its our fourth MINI the current car is an Astro Black Cooper with Chilli Pack and various extras, next Saturday 26th April we collect the new car which is again a Cooper with Chilli Pack & various extras in the White Silver metallic, with Black roof, mirror housing and wheels. I think the interior of the F56 is much better with higher quality materials definitely a step up.

Will post pics and full spec. next week.

Ordered my MCS on 4/8 and dealer looked up my order on 4/22 on the "Dealerspeed" network to see that the VIN has been assigned and status was "150-Entry Paint Shop". This is very exciting because it appears to be way ahead of the estimated schedule.

Other cars I considered and test drove to replace my 2001 A4 were WRX, CLA, A3, GTI, Fiesta ST but I came back to the Mini. I say came back because when I first saw the online photos I thought it was just too ugly. But once you see it in person it looks pretty good (still not as nice as first generation in my opinion) and it drives great with nice interior. This will be my third Mini, previously owned a 1964 Morris Cooper S and a 1967 Austin Cooper S. Minis forever!
