Hello everyone
New to world of mini, had my 2015 Cooper SD for a few weeks now after having lease cars for the past few years.
Bought on a bit of a whim after seeing the Cooper SD from dark side. Nice spec I think but gutted I don’t have the project lights…. Tried some led osrams tonight but had an error code and they will blind over drivers so going back to stock.

options:
car has full leather, pan roof, sat nav, tinted glass.
Mods:
Full decrome, led side lights, 4d plates
Future plans:
Stage 1 remap, JCW exhaust tips, retrofit CarPlay and reverse camera. Paint wheels.

Your apple cartoon looks like mine 😂
Those pics where from the advert I’ll post some new ones up, think the CarPlay & camera are next on the list.

Hi everyone!

Been dreaming about a Mini for a long long time (since 2004), in the meantime have driven different BMWs, also at some point opted for a Fiat 500 as a second car in the family. Since last week finally a proud owner of 2019 F56 Cooper in Electric Blue :). Bought the car for my wife but planning to steal it a lot over the weekends :cool:

Hi, I'm new to this forum. A Brit expat who's been living in the northern NJ area, just outside NYC, for 20+ years. Have owned several Mini's over the years and have just picked up my new 2022 Cooper S Convertible. Love it! The only issue I have is that I had to take a car without Navigation / Car Play and would love to find an aftermarket solution to add it. Any pointers or advice would be much appreciated.

Good evening all!
I was always a big mini fan, bu never owned one. No sorry... 20 years ago I had Autobianchi A112 for two months... I've been more Italian oriented. Ahh... If I well remamber, there was some event in my life with Innocenti Mini de Tomaso as well :p

Anyway, as a daily expert on Italian super cars, one of my clients importing them from Canada to Europe, he had some space left in the container. And loaded 2018 Cooper F55. Without any plan what to do, he forced me to take the car at his cost. I know just that it's silver white 2018 with decent configuration, accident damage on the front right wheel and a-pillar.

The car arrived, the damage is less than expected. It's nice and clean with low mileage and really repairable easily. Glass roof, nice interior, etc. My wife deserves a car change, so let's do it! Shhh... she still doesn't know ;)

The weak points:
1) it's pre LCI 2017, sold and registered in 2018;
2) no PDC, no rear camera;
3) visual boost with small screen only;
4) basic halogen setup.

As there is some spare budget, I have my own workshop and I found this forum, it looks like some retrofits are coming. It's really nice I found you!

Hi All recently purchased this 2015 Cooper D, love the car having previously driven Fiats all of my life. Traded Fiat 124 Spider to buy Marty.
Having a couple of issues though, when cold on startup running very rough as if on 2 cylinders only ( any Ideas )
Can you expand the size of the Idrive as it is full already, final Sat Nav is on 2015 maps how do you update if dealer how much,?

Belated intro
Derek, originally from London, now living in Amsterdam.
I got Felix (apparently MINIs need names) just under two years ago. Hes a 2014, MCS manual. Prior to Felix, I had an Audi S1, Polo GT, C Class Merc, 3 series cabrio, an SLK and an MR2 amongst other cars. I also ride a Daytona 675.
The main reasons I choose my MINI was the HD sound system, full leather interior and manual gearbox and pano roof. What's been awesome about ownership has been the little things you find out months after having the car (the headlight wink, secret compartment and disco lights), alongside being the of the few cars on the road where you can leave braking to the last minute on corners. And the 'pops' which tbh, worried me initially as i wasn't aware it was a 'thing'.
Anyhows, loving being part of the MINI community, somes pics below and the obligatory #rule1

Hi,

Joined the forum a couple of days ago, as we are looking at the Mini E. (Apologies - I might have posted already in that sub-forum before I noticed I was supposed to say "Hi" here first).

My car history has been MG-Rover almost exclusively, more by accident than anything else. Been driving an MG ZT for the last 13 years until it failed its MOT a couple of weeks ago, and repair is going to be silly money. Then my wife's Fiesta also went bang (now fixed, but definitely won't stay that way for long ...). My ZT was the Diesel version, so had the BMW engine ... so maybe there's a link there to the BMW-based Mini ?

We didn't make a conscious decision to go for the Mini E though. We have been looking at, and test-driving, all sorts. But of all the small cars we have driven - the Mini E is the one that put a big grin on my face. And its the only one that my wife and I agreed on - so assuming we still like it after our 2nd test drive tomorrow, I think it will be a definite purchase.

The 2nd (bigger) car ... that's still a bit vague at the moment. No - not a Clubman/Countryman !

Thanks, and looking forward to benefitting from the advice of the established members here - as well as contributing anything I can.

Jon

Hi All, just joined the forum, had a few Minis before from classic to supercharged and turbo, but we've just bought a F56 Cooper S in Orange, should get it Tuesday, can't wait! Andy.
Well, the verdict is in, i wasn't sure at first, but now i have done a few miles, we love it, the spec makes it for me, the HUD is fantastic and the auto parking malarkey is witchcraft! Like the HK sound system too, we just need a decent exhaust and it will be perfect, from someone used to Impreza STIs the thing isn't too far away, maybe a re-map next year, big thumbs up for the F56 from me and the better half. Andy.

Hi I’m Julia, live in rural North Yorkshire. Probably going to go ahead with a purchase of a level 2 Mini electric.
Grew up with Mini’s we had 2 of the original 850cc mini‘s when I was a child, then when I learnt to drive at 17 my mum and I bought a 1984 Mini Mayfair, I loved that car and drove all over in it. My last Mini was a 2011 Cooper S convertible which was a fun weekend car.
I tend to like reasonably quick cars and over the years have had a Golf GTI, Golf GTD, 2 Skoda Octavia VRS a Subaru Imprezza WRX STI along with many other cars. I currently have a Skoda Octavia Scout (which will be staying if I get the Mini) and an Audi TT roaster, which the Mini would replace
