Hi,

I’m Jay

Not really a new member, per se. I’ve been lurking for a while and it intensified when I put my MCS Sport order in.

I’ve always had R56s and still own one that’s away for a rebuild.

The deal offered on the F56 to have as a daily was just tooo good to turn down.

Fast forward a few months and I’ve taken delivery and couldn’t be happier!

I don’t know if it’s novelty or Mini have understated the power figure but it goes REALLY well!
On top of the power delivery it has a (considerably) decent exhaust note, very noticeable induction noise and clear wastegate flutter - all adds to the experience.

Delighted with it!

Hi everyone,

I'm Craig, a long time lurker but a new member.

I've had a few Minis in the past 2 supercharged jcw's, a mini park lane and a countryman s. The wife has also had 4 minis including the current 4 door, so you could probably say we like them. 😂

I've ordered an F60 so I thought I'd join to keep me busy for the 6 months I'm having to wait for it. 🙁

Hello Fellow MINI Community,

I'm Rich and my MINI is Scarlet, a '21 Paddy Hopkirk Edition that was purchased in Feb '21. This is my fourth MINI and throughout the years I've found great information on this forum and finally decided to join... I have no idea why it took so long but better late then never 🙂

I cannot wait to be part of the community, share information, ask questions and provide updates on my MINI.

Here are some pictures of Scarlet and have a great day,

Rich

Hello all ..

I've owned Mini Cooper's since they were reintroduced to the US back in 2002, an R53 Cooper S. I loved the car, and owned it for 10 years, I then sold it off and bought a 2013 R56 Cooper S hatchback. I really wish that BMW kept the supercharger, as it gave a constant power curve. I've got a 2022 F56 waiting to be shipped from Great Britain, and will be trading in the 2013.

All my Mini's have been relatively maintenance free as far as repairs, until I had turbo issues on the 2013. Not sure why it went belly up, but as I'm currently living in an area of the country where Mini's are few and far between, getting it repaired was not an option, and I tried.

However, building a new Mini online was easy, and I got everything I wanted. However, the closest dealer is 4 hours away, so I'll be coaxing my 2013 along the roads keeping it under 3200 RPM all the way. It does run fine as long as I don't trigger the turbo. Hopefully I'll get a few grand in trade-in value, not that I'm counting on that, but it will lower the overall cost.

The 2022 has ..

Manual Transmission

Dynamic Damper Control
Iconic trim, with Moonwalk Grey metallic paint, black roof & mirrors, NO sunroof.(can't stand them)
17" Pedal spoke black wheels
Leather Cross Punch Carbon Black interior
Silver chequered interior surfaces
Touchscreen Nav Plus (includes electronic instrument cluster & heads up display)
HK premium sound (originally credited, but the chips must have come in)

Considering, I should have gone all out and got a JCW ... but I'm happy. Just waiting for it to hit the boat :)

Cheers,

Neil

Good evening all!
I was always a big mini fan, bu never owned one. No sorry... 20 years ago I had Autobianchi A112 for two months... I've been more Italian oriented. Ahh... If I well remamber, there was some event in my life with Innocenti Mini de Tomaso as well :p

Anyway, as a daily expert on Italian super cars, one of my clients importing them from Canada to Europe, he had some space left in the container. And loaded 2018 Cooper F55. Without any plan what to do, he forced me to take the car at his cost. I know just that it's silver white 2018 with decent configuration, accident damage on the front right wheel and a-pillar.

The car arrived, the damage is less than expected. It's nice and clean with low mileage and really repairable easily. Glass roof, nice interior, etc. My wife deserves a car change, so let's do it! Shhh... she still doesn't know ;)

The weak points:
1) it's pre LCI 2017, sold and registered in 2018;
2) no PDC, no rear camera;
3) visual boost with small screen only;
4) basic halogen setup.

As there is some spare budget, I have my own workshop and I found this forum, it looks like some retrofits are coming. It's really nice I found you!

Great little car. Don't worry about a lack of options in it! You'll just love to drive it. 😊

Hi all.
I’m currently awaiting the arrival of my new Mini Electric Level 3 in enigmatic black with black roof and yellow mirror caps. I’m told that it should be here before Christmas so not too much longer to wait now. The last Mini I owned was a 1994 Rover Mini 1250 but I’ve not owned one of the BMW era Minis before.

I am moving from a 2018 X6 Xdrive 40D to the Mini after assessing how much I actually use the car and how many people are usually in it (26 mile round commute if I need to go into the office and just me for 80% of the time), so it’s going to be quite a change. It’s my first EV, though my wife recently bought a new BMW i3, so we’re going to be fully electric on the car front.

I’ve always been a petrol head, so the change to an EV is a big deal, but after test driving the Mini I really don’t think I’ll miss an ICE powered car. All of the fun with none of the noise or vibrations and instant torque. I will revert to my motorbike for dino juice fuelled fun.

Hi All, new to site and also new owner of a 2016 Cooper S which the Mrs loves.
We purchased it from a stolen and recovered auction with no body damage two days before Christmas as a run around before taking the plunge on buying a new one.

It may have a few interior trims missing but she already totally loves it haha and may save me buying her a new one :)

Picked up a '19 from Carvana a couple of weeks before Christmas. I'm really enjoying driving it. It has been a few years since I've had a manual but that really is part of what makes it so much fun.
I could not find one locally and ordering a new one was rally going to take quite awhile so went with the on-line purchase. Wasn't bad. There were a couple of hiccups but the car is as good or better than promised. Probably should start a thread here dealing with on-line purchasing.
The good news is that I was able to get the car I wanted with the accesories, color and price that I was looking for.

Farewell to 14 years of C4 (citroen diesel coupe, not corvette). Having sampled a 2016 1.5, seen the U-Tube vids, read the reviews, found some change under the cushions, now picking up a seemingly under-used 2yr old chili JCW. 2022 opens as a new dawn of promise. Has the wool been pulled over my eyes or am I going to be driving perfection in an F56 world of honey and joy?
I've also destroyed the old memories - failed folded rusty tin and half timbered carts from the 70s and 80s, doors opened by bits of string, write-offs caused by trees, kerbs and rain. What do I need to know in 2022?

Hey all! I’ve just purchased a F56 JCW (2015). My first ever car was a 2002 Mini Hatch and I fell in love with that go kart feel. After many different cars I ended up going back to the mini and as of now I have no regrets. I’m planning on slowly but surely upgrading and modifying my new pride and joy and hopefully get some hints and tips from this site along the way!

Hi all had my (new to me) F56 Cooper D 15reg for a week and I absolutely love it. Its a white silver metallic with small screen. No nav but I think its going to get an android auto box.
Plan is a good machine polish and ceramic coat when the weather improves, caramics window sealer, Union Jack rear lights and get the carpark dent in door fixed.
I'm based in Plymouth area and have just purchased genuine Carly and software if anyone needs it, anyone local have bimmercode or know if I can code lights in using bimmercode and carly obd on the phone?
Thanks and good to be here, I'm loving my new found extra money with the fuel economy after owning a twin turbo v8 range rover for a few years and various big engined audis.

Hi I'm Dave, I've just bought this early F57 JCW to replace my NC Mazda MX5. It was time for a change and I looked at an Abarth 124 Spider and a Z4 but having lurked here for a bit I decided to take the plunge. Hope I've made the right decision! In the end the colour of the one I found was the deciding factor. I know you shouldn't choose a second hand car on colour but nostalgia kicked in ......

Hey everyone. I’ve just joined to ask a question about paintwork. Having always wanted a Mini, I recently decided to join the Mini cohort with my first car purchase (a cyclist otherwise, you don’t really need a car in my city unless you want to leave it).

I’ve been driving about a decade, now, and usually just hired cars when I needed them. My other favourite I’ve been lucky enough to drive was the Renault Clio 182 Trophy, which was a delicious experience. Definitely one to look out for!

I’ve a fondness for nippy hatches with pinpoint steering. My new Mini is a 2007 red Mini Cooper and I love it so far.
