Hi, I've always loved Minis, never bought a classic Mini but then bought an R56 silver mini that I absolutely loved ... I called her sexylicious, from there I bought a Navy and white f56. I must admit It has taken a while for me to feel the same passion as I did for sexylicious. The F56 just feels a little on the big side and snouty so not as pretty therefore i'm looking to put some white bonnet stripes and possibly some spots. I do like the fact that it feels better screwed together than my first Mini and as she gets older, im loving her more ...

Hello.

Figured I would would finally introduce myself. My name is Marilyn and I’ve been browsing/lurking on this forum since 2014 when I bought my first MINI: a 2014 Mini Cooper Hardtop. It was a Chili Red base model and I loved it! The first pic was me taking it to Watkins Glen in 2027 for one of the MINI track days. Loved that car! Oh, and all my MINIs have been/are with manual transmissions.

Then, in 2019, I leased a 2019 MINI Cooper JCW (the International Orange edition). The picture here is me on the day I got it. I put black wheels on it but that’s about all. Really like this one, too.

Then, I got wind of MINI bringing heated steering to the MINI line-up. Given that I live in western New York State with perpetually cold hands, the thought of heated steering was irresistible.

So, last November 19, 2021, I took possession of a 2022 MINI Cooper S 4-door in Island Blue. Since I had to get the Iconic package to get the heated steering, I also ticked practically every option box while I was ordering. This thing is the most loaded I’ve ever gotten with a MINI. I went with the piano black interior and exterior options and had the belt line done in piano black at the port.

So, the other pictures here are of my current baby. There’s one of him sitting in the snow after his first bath, one of the first day in my driveway and the last is the gorgeous flower sunroof decal I have installed.

Hopefully, this is the proverbial “third times a charm” car. I plan on keeping this one for years, knock on wood.

I look forward to continued browsing of this forum. I’m a MINI person for life. Love these cars, mine especially!

2014 Mini Cooper S F56 Gen 3 2 liter turbo
I blacked it out, took a while and its finished now. No engine or exhaust modes. New brakes drilled and slotted, wheels tires (tyres), The last mode was the carbon fiber wing. Just found the forum while looking to fix my remote key fob problem. I found a video on
that shows how to get to the receiver at about 12:30 min in. $136.cdn at mini for the part (ouch). Will install it on Saturday. Wish me luck I tend to break plastic clips.

Apparently I need to post an intro for DMs to work.

I have a 2018 Cooper S that I love. My first mini of my own, looking to do a few updates to it because why not. Overall I love minis and love the community around them.

Not sure what else to say about it. Nice to meet you all. Cheers!

Just joined this community and i purchased my first mini cooper on Nov 25, 2019. The car had to be shipped from florida to new york, as it was one of the few PHEV 2019 Countryman in stock at the time.

Nice wheel setup! Looks like they are 215/40/18 tires. Can you please tell us if there are any rubbing issues and what spacer sizes are you using?
Hello!

I’m new here after getting a grey 2019 hardtop last summer. It has heated seats and the sunroof In the front is the kind that opens. It also has the Harmon and Kardon sound system, which I like, and came with Union Jack taillights as a bonus. I find the taillights especially amusing, since I’m half English on my mother’s side. So far, I’m really enjoying the Mini’s handling and the extra zip after driving a truck for years and years. My truck had an Xtra Cab, but terrible gas mileage, little pickup, and a wide turning radius—though it was nice having a truck-bed.

The Mini Cooper is so sleek on the inside. I like the nod to retro lines in the styling. Unfortunately, that does mean that there is nowhere to mount my phone, though, which is a problem, seeing as how I ended up choosing a model with no CarPlay and no navigation. I also miss my CD player. Yes, I know it’s 2022. lol I still have lots of CDs, and I don’t necessarily want to put everything onto my phone. This car is wired for a CD changer, so I’ve been having a look at ones that might work. Any suggestions on where to put it?

Overall, I’ve been very happy with the car. It is quite a pleasure to drive. 2021 was a difficult year for buying a pre-owned car. I was glad that I was able to find one in a newer model with moderate mileage and almost all of the features I was looking for (I even made a spreadsheet of available cars and their features). Doing something about CarPlay is a relatively easy fix, and I think that will be my first real upgrade. Do floor mats and the flip up cover that goes over the space behind the seats in the boot count as an upgrade? Maybe CarPlay is really third, then. I’d also like to look into whether I can connect the vent that’s there for the cooled glove box. I welcome any tips and other upgrade suggestions you all might have.

Have an excellent weekend!

Hi there!
I'm new with my 2018 JCW. Have a nice day
Welcome to the forum. Fantastic looking car, you must be well pleased.
Hello out there, 2023 SE on order as of 3/21/22, new to MINI!
Prior EVs include Chevy Volt (hybrid) and 3x leased Fiat 500e's.

I loved the Fiat 500e but they have abandoned North America and I'm not in the mood to be my own electronics/software technician should the car develop 'anomalies'... plus range was a little tight (75-100miles) even compared to MINI.

Within the 1st ~200' of test driving the MINI SE, I wanted it. The steering and damping are phenomenal. I'm used to spaceship-like EV acceleration, but it still gave me the EV grin getting onto the highway. Although I am NOT a fan of the aggressive regen, time will tell if I can adjust. Different thread!

The Fiat was actually quieter inside. Outward visibility was better, turning circle a bit tighter. The handling was lighter and more tossable, but clearly not on the same level as the MINI.

I ordered 'Iconic' trim, Enigmatic Black with yellow mirror caps, Roulette wheels, and blacked out trim including beltline. Upholstery will have the yellow/gray checkered cloth inserts.
I will post a photo of the car in its natural habitat (Oregon), after receiving the vehicle... someday...

Welcome! Great spec - few on here have yellow mirrors and they look wonderful.
Now the proud owner of a 2019 F57 Cooper Classic in Solaris Orange, exchanged an R57 Cooper in Burnt Orange, seems to be theme :) The difference is chalk and cheese for old bones like mine.
