Greetings, friends! I just picked up my first Mini: a '22 MCS, Brick Lane Edition, 3dr manual. Flew with my son from our home in Colorado to San Diego to purchase the car and road trip it home. We experienced the amazing driving roads east of SD, at and around the Grand Canyon, and through the Bryce, Escalante, Canyonlands, Dead Horse Point, and Arches areas of Utah. Amazing father/son memories in a car that was in its element in those tight, twisty, canyon and mountain roads. Looking forward to being a part of this community! View attachment 82979
Wow. A trip I can only dream of doing.
Love the Brick Lane Edition, try visiting it‘s market on your next trip to London 😎😎

Hello! Fingers crossed I'm picking up my first mini (2015 f55 cooper D) on Saturday.
It's a Pepper White, with black victory spoke alloys.

Bit of a diffence from the - nice to drive but a boring place to be - 09 C class merc i'm moving from.
It ticks all the boxes I need it to (looks great, comfortable, drives well, practical enough, wife doesn't hate it)
Greetings to all the Mini owners and fans around the world from Nova Scotia, Canada. I am now 75 years old and just getting around to owning my first Mini. I have more things to learn about them and less to offer in the way of support at this point. I have had 60+ vehicles over my driving career including muscle cars, Corvettes, Lotus Cortinas, Jeeps...you name it and I have probably had it. I am well versed in C3 Corvettes and I manage a very popular C3 website. I do have to say that this MIni I have is one of the most fun cars to drive that I have ever owned. The more I drive it, the more I learn about it and believe me I still have lots to learn. The Mini I have is a 2011 Cooper S.

You may also want to join the North American Motoring forum too.

Our forum is aimed towards F series MINIs and the NAM forum has an area for your R series MINI 😉

Thank you Rich. Now I know what series of MIni I have :) I was thinking I had an F series. It looks like there are a lot of parts that were carried over from the R series to the F series. I will also join the other forum you have indicated.

Hello All. New Cooper S owner here. After being captivated by the Mini since its return to the US I finally found myself in a position to jump into one of my own. Picked up my British Racing Green IV Cooper S on 3/30. Then again on 3/31 after an unfortunate run in with one of Pittsburgh's notorious potholes 20 minutes after leaving the dealership and blowing the sidewall out of the tire. Big shout out to Mini of Pittsburgh though. They had the car towed back to them within an hour and had a new tire on the next day. Very much looking forward to learning more and hopefully getting to some gatherings.

Hi y'all! Just got my 2015 F56 in March. First time MINI owner, needed a better daily driver after my MkIV Golf decided it was done with life. I'm loving the Mini experience so far. I just crossed 100k miles this week, so I'm going to be looking into servicing it soon. I'm wondering when the clutch needs to be replaced? Feels like it's starting to slip a bit when getting back on the gas after coasting, but it's been 13 years since I last had a manual and maybe that's just to be expected. I'm also experiencing some occasional rough idling that is generally fairly minor, but it is noticeable. I've only noticed it three times in the past month, and it clears up with a dose of throttle. It's not immediately after start-up, it comes after a bit of driving. Anyway, I'm enjoying the car! I'm looking forward to maybe learning to race in it down the line. A stage 1 tune, short shifter (or at least less sloppy shifter), and gold/bronze wheels are about all I have planned for it.

Thanks for allowing us to join the forum! We’re new to the Mini Cooper world as we originally bought a nice 19’ Countryman one owner car. Now a couple of months later, we’re awaiting on this low mileage 22’ JCW 2 door hardtop to be delivered within the next week. Anyone else know much about these 22’ Anniversary Edition models that apparently only had 740 total with 75 of those delivered to the states and a fewer number to Canada? We’ll be asking plenty of questions I’m sure in addition to sharing our experiences!

Hi, I’m new to Mini’s haven purchased my first a week ago. With the looming recession I decided to sell some assets while prices are high and downsize somewhat. Out went my Porsche Macan GTS and in came my 2018 Mini Cooper S. I really do love the thing and caught the bug. Such fun to drive. Mine also has the added punch of a Stage 1 Tune, Cone Induction Kit, 30mm Lowering Spring, 15mm Wheel Spacers, front Diffuser and Colour Coded Arches Exc.

The JCW Cup Spokes for the cooper S threw me off a little haha, i'm so used to how the JCW Cup Spokes on the JCW are where they're a little bowed out to clear the calipers, but either way, A Very clean little Midnight Black Cooper S! Hope you're enjoying it!

Agreed, I’m more in favour of concave than convex. That said, they do kinda work! Would love to go for a set of old school dished 3 pieces.

Recently picked up a used Mini Cooper JCW -19.

It's been a long time coming, I borrowed a Mini from BMW Sweden back when they were launched and wrote a review for the BMW Club paper. I was absolutely blown away about how fun it was to drive. It's never been the right time to own one as I have had company cars or the need for a bigger car. Last month I ran out excuses :ROFLMAO:

Car is Rebel Green, 8-speed Auto & Adaptive Suspension. I have had it Stage 1 tuned so far but have some more plans. Plans is to do some track days in the future so it will have some uprated springs, wheels and brakepads.

With 280bhp/400nm it's got really angry and puts a big smile on my face each time I drive it :D

Hello all. Writing from central New Jersey where I have owned my beautiful chili red 2015 MINI. Ie. I love my car— handling, speed, comfort, reliability. Had a 1984 Alfa Romeo Spider convertible which was always stranding us somewhere.
I am seriously considering buying a new JCW convertible.
Just purchased a 2009 Cooper 6 speed to tow behind my MB based Entegra RV. As an ex-pat now living in USA, I decided the towed vehicle should be European at least! It joins my wifes MB SUV, her MB clk500 convertible and my Range Rover, so i'm keeping the 'across the pond' collection going :)
Hello, I'm new here. My name is Tim. I'm in Boise, ID, USA. I am here because I had a crash in my MINI F56 (I'm okay) and because of the front driver's side axle breaking, it was totalled by the insurance company. I'm quite sad about this as I loved my MINI and I treated it so well. In any case, I've joined to get an idea of values for selling certain parts, mainly the factory "single cone spoke 18 x 7" wheels. Also more mundane things like cargo nets and headrests.

I hope you all are having a good day or evening.

-Tim

Hello all! Michel here in the Chicago suburbs, Illinois, USA. Our Mini Clubman (Cooper S) is mostly used by my wife, but I'm the gearhead in the family so I guess I'm the one here.

Still a bit sad the Clubman is getting discontinued - but if we had been able to wait for the upcoming electric models with greater range we probably would have gotten those anyway. Anyway, while we have him (my wife insists this car is a "he" but the name has changed from Oswald the Disney character to Kelso from the '70s show - pretty but a bit dumb ~ the 2023 model produced last year didn't have many safety features thanks to supply shortages, similar to BMWs of that era. Looks like any Clubman we can buy now still are missing those features even though the normal Mini can be specced with them again!)

Anyway, while we have this car, we definitely plan on keeping it a long time - once the kid is bigger we both plan to downsize and my wife will likely end up with a 2-door electric Mini.

Glad to be in the club - I can't think of other car make where owners actually do wave at each other on the road! (Maybe for our EV6 which is quite rare, but I have yet to pass one going the other way to make waving practical)
