Polish and tings!

Ok guys,

I have ordered a few items to help care for my mini

two types of shampoo - just to try them out and get used to actually cleaning my car!

Simoniz and meguiars gold

10 microfibre cloths and 3 microfibre wash mitts

Sonax Quick detailer (already have) and alloy wheel cleaner (already have)

One thing I don't have is a polish and I don't want to go straight from washing to using Sonax. Am I correct in thinking the polish gives it a little protection?

Anything else I should think about using (car is Deep Blue).

Collinite wax for me. Good finish and very durable.

You can use a prewar cleaner/sealant underneath it, I have Carlack complete.

I appreciate everyone's contribution - on here I consider others especially Mark's opinions to be the most sought after - got a problem let Mark know - his information and help is invaluable

It's a little bit disrespectful to throw an accusation of silliness towards me - all I'm doing is having fun with my fellow Mini drivers; I respect their choices no matter what - a little bit of fun and laughter never hurt anyone - if you feel that I am taking liberties with my approach then I have no problem to walk

It's only a car and it's only a colour their are far more things in the world to be concerned about or to talk about and as you are talking to a professional writer I have nothing further to add.

Just used Gtechniq C1 on the paint and C5 on the wheels, and I1 on the part cloth interior.

It's supposed to last 2 years, and I'm putting a top coat sealant, C2v3 which lasts 8 months, on top.

I just feel that VO chat would be best served in a thread about VO. I don't see the need for discussions about another subject to be diverted onto this, just my opinion of course.

Well I tell you what

Make a complaint to the moderators and if I'm told to not express myself the way I want to I'll quite happily leave this place.

I have no problems I've got plenty of things to write it's the nature of my inner beast I'm fine all around

Car washed, rinse, snow foamed, 2 buckets and noodle glove, rinsed.

Wheels cleaned with bilberry and iron X. Then rinsed and dried.

Car dried, then water and IPA mixed, and sprayed and wiped down to remove polish and wax. Car dried again.

Applied gtechniq C1 to paint. This lasts 2 years

Applied gtechniq C5 to wheels

Interior sprayed with gtechniq I1, fabic protector.

Windows cleaned inside and out with AG glass cleaner.

Applied C2v3 sealant to all painted areas, on top of C1, this lasts 8 months.

Then applied a coat of Meguairs mirror glaze paste wax 16.

Then the whole wiped down with demon shine quick detailer.

Tyres blackened with AS high style.
