Not sure if the feeling is mutual for you guys but finally... the speedometer is in the right place. IN FRONT OF THE DRIVER! for the longest time the speedo was on center of the dash. It was so much like a fast ticking clock. This is one of the things that did bother the heck out of me. I know I am not the only one. THANK GOD!!!!!

I know it's small but to us Mini fans, this is a huge change.

definitely a good change.
i did find myself going faster than I was supposed to since it's not really all that safe to look over when you want to at the center mounted speedo. Finally they're getting things right.

It didn't take too much effort to look on over to check your speed but still I just felt out of place doing it.

I always have my digital reader on in my current car because you can't always look at the centre speedometer.

Looking at it in person the other night, it looks a lot better in front of you.

The only downside to all this is that the rev counter in the F 56 isn't brilliant....not easy to read.

..but doesn't the large LED ring also show you revs?

It does...just a bit counter intuitive. I will say I haven't driven our car all that much so it could be a case of getting used to it.

I prefer the tach front and centre personally.. but again that's personal...
