Quick question, I have the LED Headlights with the Halo DRLs. When I unlock the car (during daylight) I was convinced that the Halo lights used to come on?? Now they don't and only when it's dark and I unlock the car do all the lights i.e. The LEDs halos & headlights come on.

Should the Halo lights come on when I unlock the car in daylight?

Also I have been through all the lights option e.g. Welcome lights etc

I have never experienced the DRL's coming on (in isolation) when unlocking the car. Only the full headlights + DRLs when dark and the headlights in 'Auto'.

Mine comes on all the time, regardless of day/night.
There's a setting under Vehicle that enables/disable this.

I don't think the DRLs automatically come on during the day when I unlock the car, unless that is a setting somewhere. I wasn't aware of this so would have to have a look.

My full LEDs and DRLs only come on when I unlock the car and it's dark.

I was under the impression they would also. Otherwise the F56 ad is misleading, as they come on when the guy unlocks the car

There will be different behaviour and different settings in different areas.

I think my UK DRLs are only on when the engine's running, and they're off if any other lights are on. Might be time for experimenting...

i have full LEDs & have the headlights set to auto. when i unlock the car the headlights come on (main beam & DRL ring). When i start the car, if it's light just the DRL rings stay on, if it's dark the main beam also stays on.

surprisingly this morning at 6:45am the car decided it was dark enough to the need the full headlights on most of the way to work.

yeah i'v also noticed that with headlights set to auto the LED rings act as the DRL & the side lights (the ones in the lower portion of the front bumper with the fog lights) don't come on at all.

With headlights set to off the side lights act as the DRL; this seems to be the only time the side lights are used when you have the LED headlights

Thanks everyone, it would appear that only the Halo lights don't come on when you unlock the car which is a real shame as I think it would look prety cool paired with the LED lights in the door handles but hey ho.

Interested what setting people have that turns ALL the lights on regardless of the time of day??

I have the lights set on Auto and also have the welcome lights feature enabled in the settings??

I think you need to tick the box for "welcome lights" in the options.

Dont welcome lights put on all the lights not halo led's only though !

Tried that but didn't seem to make any difference in daylight

I think it is a shame as i think it would be pretty cool if just the Halo's came on during the day when unlocking!

I have welcome lights ticked and I left the lights on auto... when I unlock the car I only get the double indicator flash. Have I missed a step?

Thats what happens, when it gets dark enough all the lights will come on when unlocking
