@midnightf56 , which light package did you take?
Sorry for the late reply.....

Just checked invoice and under CHILLI PACK option section it lists
4V9 MINI Excitement Pack
563 Interior lights Pack

Looking at the website now it is much more confusing than when I spec'd my car. I don't know if Mini Excitement Pack makes any difference to the lights as it only mentions readings of G force etc on the big screen!

Hope this helps?

Looks great. so is what you guys are saying is that not all of the new hardtops have this light package? Mine was a gift, and I'm wondering if they ordered it with a special light package. If no special package was ordered, what is included?

Tried looking at the menu but with no success.

It's been asked many a time before - hope this helps:

563 (Lighting Pack)
- Orange ambient lighting

4V9 (Excitement Pack)
- Ambient lighting using RGB LEDs
- Exterior door handle white LEDs (puddle illumination)

Both are included in the Pepper pack and above on One and Cooper

The MINI Yours packs also include "light piping" in the door trim.

You can have the ring match mood lights which can be a set colour or will scroll through the rainbow if you have the extended lights package. you can have it match mini excitement (red) or eco (green) or you can have it as a rev counter or to reflect inputs eg altering the temp of the interior or you can turn it off altogether. It's amazingx

Hi Peterg,

That sounds like it's set up to be a rev counter... the red part represents the red line.

To change what the ring shows you can use the settings menu...
Settings > Center Instrument

You can have basic display where the ring does one of about three funtions. The rev counter display is one of the these.

Or you can have event display where the ring reacts when different things happen in the car. You can choose which events it responds to, but it's things like adjusting the volume, changing the AC temperature, approaching a navigation turn, switching driving mode, parking sensors...

Hope that helps...
