I'm aware that many of us here have had rear shock/s replaced under warranty due to knocking, me included.
My rear shocks were replaced last February - at approximately 5000 miles after a lot of to-ing and fro-ing from the dealer before they found the actual cause of the knock ....Chassis Ears had to be bought by the dealer in order to locate the source.
Anyhow ..... I've now done 13.5K miles (approx. 8K on these shocks) and I'm almost certain it's started again!!! How can this possibly be?? Surely the second set haven't started knocking again? It's the rear driver wheel, same as before and the same knock.
I can't say I drive on abnormally bad road surfaces and encounter the odd speed bump....that I don't exactly fly over....
Should I go back to the dealer again? I don't want them to turn round and think it's me wrecking my suspension
Should I look to aftermarket shocks? Are they better? I don't want the ride to be harder though....
Anyone else experience knock reccurance?
