Opinions needed on rear sway bars.
I have a 2016 Cooper S F55 Standard config 141kw engine, no modifications Although planning a piggyback chip.
I have noted that on hard acceleration out of corners the car tends to understeer. Easy to correct by backing off on power but a bit annoying. I know a bigger rear sway bar would help but just wanted some opinions: How big 22mm or 25mm. Those that have done this, what is the effect on trailing braking. Currently understeers but I’d hate for it to shift to a gross oversteer. Typically OEM’s tend to dial in a lot of understeer for safety but how is the Mini in this regard. Wasn’t planning any other suspension mods.
Thanks for any opinions

In the US a few are using the NM rear adjustable sway bar in both 22mm and 25mm.

I read that you can still set it to mildly understeer on one setting or more neutral/oversteer bias. I read that the 22mm one is solid and the 25mm hollow so unsure which one has more effect?

I personally am waiting on some coilovers first and will see what balance they give driving at my own limits before deciding if I need the rear sway (anti-roll) bar to help decrease understeer.

It would seem that NM would have to be imported in UK but I have seen Oranje do one named Hardrace below which I may consider if I find I need one
