Until November 28th I was the proud owner of a 2014 MCS midnight black. I went to my dealer (only 2 miles from my home) just to see what all the hype was about with "The Big Holiday Sale". Already being on the fence with my 2014 as I've had paint & a\c problems, all the recalls, not too mention when my car was in for service another customer kissed mt driver side door with hers. Sure the dealer took care of everything without a problem. However I was tired of seeing the marks left behind from the weeping washer nozzles. BTW I was also ready to put tires on my 2014 ;). The first words out of the MRSS were "so now every time you need tires you're just going to trade in your current car"? Me: ahh maybe >:D

My MA is great, she and the General Manager worked a great deal for me plus saved me some $ along the way.

I now own a 2016 MCS in Pepper White, 6 speed manual with the Fully loaded package (except navigation), Pics to follow

I'd be tempted to change too if it wasn't for the fact I have a PCP deal and would lose shedloads of money :( Looking forward to seeing pictures of your new weapon!

Personal Contract Plan....a type of financial contract.....Basically.......

Deposit, low(er) monthly payments but a final balloon payment at the end as the option to buy (in my case, approx £9000.....the guaranteed future value).....or you can trade in at the end of the three years to upgrade. You never own the car outright but on the other hand, you seldom own the car beyond 3 years which means it's not out of warranty, no big servicing costs and no MOT test.

Costs an arm and a leg to break the contract early. It's almost certain you owe more than the GFV right up to the end of the contract.

It's a very common way to buy a car here. If you think, to buy my MINI outright over 3 years would add 50% on top of my monthly payment as is.

Congrats Peter! I did similar a few weeks ago. Only went to the dealers for a little looksie and ended up with a new F56 three weeks later. I had a 2014 Coupe before and like yourself Id had a few niggles from day one. Nothing bad, just enough to annoy me plus a few bad memories in life whilst owning that car ... so new car and new start! Enjoy :D

I thought I was bad. We just went in to test drive and walked away with a signed contract on a MCS. Try explaining how you 'didn't mean to buy a car.' :)

We did the same, took a JCW for a test, came back, had coffee, we built my "dream" Mini on the config tool, only for the Sales Manager to say "I've got one like that in stock"...

Deal was done there and then, picked the car up 3 weeks later as i let it roll into September for registration purposes.
