Hi

Please can some of you tell me what you use to clear grease / diesel / insects / REALLY bad stuff from the windscreen. So far I have tried meths on the wiper blades + Halfrauds Intensive Glass Cutter, Spirit Glass Cleaner, vinegar and newspaper, etc, etc…. ALL to no avail!!!

Cheers

I use vinegar and/or un-diluted screen wash fluid, but I don't have grease or diesel getting onto the screen that I am aware of.
Mini screens are a bit more vertical than many cars and collect insects at an alarming rate!

Auto Finesse Citrus power is a good bug and grime remover. Or valet Pro Citrus pre wash. Simply spray them on, agitate if necessary and jet wash off. I use them each week on the bumper, window and mirrors. gets rid of all the hard stuff before you start washing the car with the mitt + prevents swirls as you don't need to apply pressure to remove baked on dirt/bugs etc..
Also instead of using rainX, put something more permanent on like Gtecniq G1, it lasts years not days.
If you think rainX is good you will love Gtecniq G1.
Carbon collective also sell the equivalent glass rain repellent. + also sell the equivalent for the bodywork + wheels.

Also if all fails, get a clay bar or clay mitt - Halfords sell both types. (clay mitt is alot easier to use) this will be sure to remove the contaminants.

just use any glass cleaner but use a microfiber
buffing cloth as I have found this is cool to clean
the glass and also doesn't leave any smears. the
glass looks like when you picked it up from
the dealers.
