I still cant see how it opens Siri, I have the cradle aswell. the button on the steering wheel just opens the 'Mini voice command' ?????

I am the same as this. If you have Siri activated (by holding the button on the iphone), then you can see it on the cars main central display. I can't remember the exact words, but it's to the effect of 'external voice command'.

I've got my phone connected only via Bluetooth and I found I can activate Siri just by holding the steering wheel voice button same as you would the home button on the phone. If you simply press the button it will activate Mini's voice features but holding it down seemed to make the difference.

I used it last night to send a text and the car reads the text back in full before asking if I want to send it. Very nice feature.

Which phone do you have because I cannot send txt's with my iphone5.

Ah yes. It works with Siri (of course), but not via Mini voice command. I can receive and get them read out to me via Mini Connected, but can't send.
