Hi My car is in the dealership for end of warranty check & MOT. I have a couple of issues one being the bluetooth apple carplay connection. If my wife's phone connects to the car then the next time i use the car my phone will have trouble connecting automatically.

My dealer has said my car software is out of date and various updates are available , but they are not covered under warranty ?

Have you tried updating the stereo version using USB? I don't know if this would solve it, or something more fundamental is required, but it would be my first step.

Hi thanks for the reply, the car is in the dealership at the moment so I can’t try anything at present.

My real issue is the software update not being covered under warranty. Really can’t believe this is correct.

Just tell them your i drive has been suffering random restarts - they should update the i drive software to the latest version .
