Hi everyone -

I recently purchased a 2015 Cooper S hardtop 2 door. I believe there's only one available type of sport seat, correct? I cannot seem to locate the knob on the side of the seat that adjusts the lower back bolster or whatever the term is. Am I missing something?

I had this same question about my 2015 MCS. Asked tree dealer about it and was told that there's no lumbar wheel... crappy decision. I don't think there are any other seat options either.
Strange - I have the lumbar knob on the side of my seat - MCSD 5 Door.

Im in the US, no lumbar knob on my leatherette sport seats. However if you feel the side of the seat... where a lumbar knob might be, there is a slight indentation. I figured they were just teasing me. :)

On the second generation non-lumbar seats, I started a trend in the US for adding the missing lumbar control. About £50/$75 per seat in parts and 30 minutes to fit. It's now popular enough that ECS and Outmotoring actually sell a retrofuit kit.

Again, on the second generation seats, the particular problem was on non-lumbar sports seats where the foam appeared to be shaped for a lumbar support, so that a non-lumbar seat just had a gap in the foam where the lumbar support would be, into which one's back would sag.

I've no idea if the F55/56 seats are the same, but it seems likely, in which case buying a 'spring mat' (item 3) and a handwheel (item 4) would allow owners to add lumbar support. As kyleshelton says, the holes are already there in the frame.
