Hi all...

Have just got my V.O. F56 Cooper...

Everything is just nice, but I have a question about the audio controls...

I have booth Bluetooth connectivity and Spotify via USB and mobile ...

In both situations the track up/down key on the steering wheel does not do anything ...

I can skip track with either the buttons beneath the central display or via the joystick but this is just not the best...

Does anyone have a clue to what I'm doing wrong, or is it simply not possible ?

I have.media xl and enhanced Bluetooth. When Bluetooth connected my Samsung galaxy s4mini lets the wheels controls shift spotify tracks within a playlist or album but not between .

Believe I had seen this mentioned somewhere, and that there was a trick. Just cannot remember where I saw it and what the trick was :(

Are you I phone or Android? And are your phone software's up to date too? My Android phone up or down moves to next or previous track ok selects it .if you don't press ok it goes off !ie the display and your current track continues.

That's awesome that pressing OK will select tracks for you. So essentially it lets you cycle through a track list from the steering wheel? Very cool. For me, if pressing next/back on the steering wheel doesn't work, then it unfortunately just won't work. It seems like not only does the OS affect steering wheel control (iOS vs android) but I've found certain apps will too. I have an android phone and use soundcloud often. The steering wheel controls won't work for me on that, but If I use pandora (via bluetooth- same phone) I can skip to the next song using the steering wheel. If I have my girlfriends iphone plugged in though, the steering wheel controls work for everything. :|

farouche - Have you been able to get the steering wheel controls to control anything? I would say try as much as you can (iphone, android phone, usb drive, ipod, etc via bluetooth and usb cable) and see if your steering wheel can control any of it. If not, perhaps the dealer can check it out.

JPslow: I have tried two apps on my fairly new Android phone running OS 5.something. Spotify and Google Play Music. Bout just shows "Not Possible" in the speedo display.
Have tried Spotify on my iPad Air via USB and Connect. This just shows the current track when pressing up/down, and pressing OK does nothing...

Is it by the way possible to run Spotify from an iPod?

Farouche - any luck with your steering wheel controls? The reason why I mentioned "try as much as possible" was to see whether or not your steering wheel could control anything. The steering wheel controls are picky, but things it has always controlled for me are my ipod and music from a usb stick. If you plug in your ipad air via usb, will it control music you have on there (ie from the native music player app)?

If your steering wheel can't control anything from any of your devices you might want your dealer to check it out.
