Hi guys,

I have noticed that the stop start button glows red when The engine is stalled due to not enough gas and you restart by depressing the clutch and selecting neutral gear the Engine then automatically restarts and the start stop button glows red and remains red until you press the start stop button to stop the engine.

Is this normal as this never happend on my 2008 cooper.

I have an automatic transmission and noticed the stop start button glows red. Haven't figured out why either, but then all the lights stay on for a while after I have turned off the car and gotten out of it. First couple of weeks, I had to go back and check to make sure the lights turn off, and eventually they do.

I thought it was a bit weird (creepy) that the stop start button glows of an on....made me think the car had a heart and that was it's heartbeat!

I keep forgetting people 20-30 years younger than me know old pop culture references from never-ending reruns! Or "cult TV" as I guess it's now called. Didn't know there was more than one version of Knight Rider. Or for that matter that it was seen in the UK. But wasn't it originally a 70s series?

krc, I'll cut you some slack on being "middle-aged" at a mere 42. I know I wasn't middle aged when I was 42!

And I don't even want to know what the reference to razors, crisps and lard are about! Keep it on your side of the briny!

Just seems a little strange that the button glows red after the engine has restarted

56 here, and I've had so many midlife crises I've lost count. Red car. Sports cars. Pilot's license. 22 year-old girlfriend when I was 34. Aye yay yay. it goes on and on.

But anyway, potato + razor = really thin slices. Add hot lard in frying pan, and presto! Crisps! That's so ancient it was before electricity. I think.

Now back to tracking my latest (VO) Midlife Crisis...

Surely it must've been an 80's show? Or was that Firebird released in the 70s already?
The show was broadcasted in Sweden aswell, used to watch it all the time as a kid.
