Hi all,
Having a bit of an issue with my 2016 Mini Cooper S Convertible.
I purchased from Mini dealer 2nd hand and noticed after 5 months when the weather became cold a really load noise under my bonnet appeared when I went over speed humps.
I went to mini service department twice for this reason, but they could not find an issue or hear the noise.
I'm truly worried as I have a guarantee which expires in May and want to resolve this asap.
Please let me know if anyone has experienced this or even better know what this could be.
Look forward to hearing from someone who can relate to this..

Hi there, it's more like a clunk that comes from under the bonnet on the driver side..

Could be lower control arm bushings. Post #2 above has a link to a previous discussion where I posted the service tech notes with the service bulletin numbers. Damaging to car? I wouldn’t drive around on it too long, no idea what would happen if the bushings fail.
