I bought the MINI brand tray. It was expensive, but good quality. I also got the MINI brand rubber mats.

I had envisioned going on a shopping spree when picking up my new car that I waited 10 weeks for. But unfortunately, there are really not that many accessories to buy.

I'm not interested in changing the appearance of the car.

Me neither mini girl, I just love it as is. Have always been like that though if I were a classic car fan and am not I'd want it to look exactly as built!

My car came from the dealer with both carpet and rubber mats. I picked up the Mini logo accessory cargo tray/mat later and it was well worth it.

I also bought the Speedwell blue cargo blanket to protect the back from my guitars and amps etc. but I find it so hard to fit my big 12 string case in there that I usually take our truck.

Mini is still good for ukulele gigs though as that gear fits perfectly! :)

It's nice to see another musician, MINI owner. Why not fold the rear seats down for the 12string? My back seats stay folded down permanently due to hauling percussion equipment. I'll have to remember to snap a photo next time I carry my drum set. I can fit a 4 piece drum set, all hardware, and cymbals in the MINI. This has been a great help, since most of my gigs are in the New Orleans area and I live 45mins away.

I like the cool tonneau cover look of the Speedwell draped between the seat, so I keep them up. I can barely carry my 12 due to the wreckage of a stomach I have from having had a Whipple surgery (same as Steve Jobs) earlier this year. I just find it easier to load the truck. I promised myself that I would buy the Mini as a reward for surviving a surgery that about 60% of people don't survive

The Mini really appeals to the artist in me. Getting to choose from so many options makes me feel like my Mini is a personal expression. There are other cars that function just as well but they leave me artistically "blah".

The drummer in my last band carried his gear in a little Chevy Cavelier. When it was loaded, all you could see through the windows were drums and his face.

I picked up the cargo tie-downs:

Straps

I guarantee I could have spent less on something else, but what the heck.

You get two, but you only need one; and the strap could wrap around the car! LOL! I'll probably cut it down a bit.

The strap is very useful. I was finding things were sliding all over the place!

Took the car in for the 2nd date appointment and got another tray, this time for the deeper part of the trunk. It MINI brand, so super expensive at $198. But figure it's worth protecting the carpeting.

If anyone notices anyone selling some 3rd gen f56 in the so-cal area do you mind letting me know. I found one guy on craigslist selling tentacle spokes for 1000 but I'm not super keen on them. I'm looking to get rid of my loop spokes

check out gobadges.com as they have a lot of things to personalize your mini with. I have a 15 MCS blazing red with white bonnet stripes, blackjack moon-roof and blackjack mirror caps. I put in blackjack puddle lights ( which are great looking) and very easy to install (about 5 minutes). they also have a variety of badges to install on front bumper if you like that. I just purchased 2 stickers that cover the silly warning sticker on sun visors with the red-jack symbol and 2 blackjack badges that will fit into cup-holder tray to give the interior a little flair. This provides me a little personalization of the car other than what's already custom from the dealer. Hope this helps and pics to come in very near future.

I would assume the space under the rear seats would not look very nice or finished.
Yes. but it could be finished to look decent enough to carry a jack and a spare wheel/tire - when I have worn the run-flat tires out. Then it could have a cover made for the whole area. I don't plan carrying any passengers anyway.
