Ask the dealer to see if you can go pick it up from oxford, im sure they used to do it sometimes there for the special builds.
like bmw / mercedes offer in Europe with some of their models
as i work in automotive it would be like a bus mans holiday.. maybe fun to see how the others do it tho lol

chances are it will go to your local garage to be pdi'd then taken back for you to collect

I agree. Makes no sense why you guys cannot track you Mini in production and or shipping. If it was up to me I would put web cams in the factory for virtual tours and to check in on the birth of your very own Mini..

I went to dealer ( Passport Mini in Alexandria, VA ) on May 20th with what I wanted and they found the exact match that was produced May 14th, So they tagged that one for me..

Yeah it was on the Don Juan. Dealer told me it would be in port on the 13th though I tracked it via the shipping company site and it actually got to port yesterday. Either way I should have it next week.
