T=Oxford 2A=Oxford 3A=Holland

T=Oxford
2A=Oxford
3A=Holland

ps:2A are plant which made your MINI before last summer end in 2014, I think since then never use this code again as Holland start making MINIs after summer, and Oxford plant start using T!

When you order your new car you can't choice made plant all depends the week slot and plant avliable time! You order in UK could be made in Holland like many other owners or order in Holland may made in UK!

After vehicle delivered, there is factory badge sticker on the B pillar can tell u where is come from too!

But it really doesn't matter, all production line are robot.

But there is some case like the other thread talk about Flaky Bluetooth problem! Could be a making plant problem, if you unlucky plz tell us where it made?

Please let me know if I am wrong, just want share some info I know.

Enjoy

But... wait a second... my car built in March is a 2A. So I wonder if that still means Oxford? A couple of folks have had 2A cars come from Holland as well.

One of us just needs to go to Germany, walk into BMW HQ and refuse to leave until someone gives a definitive answer.

Hold on there. My car is a 2A, born 10/31/2014, and was shipped from Southampton. So unless "summer" has been redefined, or they snuck the car from Holland to Southampton, Oxford is my plant.

And the production line is not completely robotic. There are many people assembling the cars as you can see on the Youtube.

So, you drivers with cars built in the (so called) wrong country - what are you going to do about it? Just piss and moan. - or what?>:D

Or I get wrong, T stop last summer, and 2A carry on!

I'd LOVE to look, but sadly it still just sits there at some port somewhere getting seagull poop on it.

So we have 2A's from Oxford, 2A's from the Netherlands, T's from Oxford... and I don't have diddly yet. From where I sit, I don't care if it was assembled by 5 Benedictine monks and a trained chimpanzee as long as it's all done right when it gets here.

Word has it the Chimpanzees are responsible for that clunking noise everyone's complaining about.

where built

Maybe US market are different case?

I pick up my car this coming week and stopped over yesterday to ask the parts department about something. I remembered looking at this thread and asked my sales guy where my car was made. He said, "England". I guess the US cars are made there...well, that's the answer I got, who knows if its correct as car sales men might not be completely trustworthy (just my general opinion).:)

Yeaaaaah they say a lot of stuff ha. About the first thing I'll do when I go to pick mine up is pry the door open and look at the sticker so I can see for myself where my 9 March 15 produced 2A was assembled and put at least that part of this mystery to bed.
