Ok, for those of us who are directed affected by the EPA delay or should I say the vague further delay.... I have been considering bailing out of my order and rotating to a different MINI model. I absolutely love my Blazing Red Hardtop with the white bonnet stripes...but I actually want to have my car. All I wanted was my MINI with heated seats, automatic, navigation system and moonroof.... If there was 2014 Hardtop with those specs my backside would have been in back in late July.

I don't know what I am going to do....just frustrated and am reviewing my options. I do like the look and style of the Countryman ALL4 and I am considering test driving it this week - I want to see how it corners

Just wondering how many of us are commited (as of right now) to wait it out and how many are reviewing our options.... Right now I am undecided.

I am waiting for OCT. 3rd. That will be one month exactly after my promised delivery date of Sept. 3. This gives me the right to bail after 30 day delivery date and get my full deposit back as per the consumer protection laws. I ordered my 2015 on June 13, Prod: July 22, Arrived in Halifax on Aug. 6th. No further communication from the dealer. I am certainly moving onto another brand after Oct. 3 !!!!

I am firmly committed to waiting for my MINI. There's no substitute for a custom built car, and if I were to go elsewhere I would still have the long delay waiting for the second choice car to show up.

Waiting will be filled some day.

I just ordered on August 31, and the MINI USA phone update says my car is sheduled to be built by tomorrow (September 22nd). I was given a delivery date of November 2014, so I haven't been waiting nearly as long as some people.

MINI has been my dream car for six years, so I'm definitely going to wait, as of now!

I've been waiting since first week of june for my MCS. I will continue to wait as I've wanted a mini for 8 years. They better deliver exactly what I had wanted.

My wife's '02 Hardtop has 150K+ miles. It's just starting to show signs of age during this past year. Headliner is falling, clutch is slipping a bit in higher gears, audio speakers are shot, driver door is getting hard to unlatch, reverse light burns out in a couple months… ;-) Not bad for twelve years!

We're planning to give it some needed TLC to bring it back to awesome. Even still, my wife had a note left on her car the other day that said, "I love your fu**king car." (cleaned up for the forum). It's Electric Blue and White with bonnet stripes--stands out in a parking lot, still, after all these years.

So, we're waiting for sure. If you didn't catch my introduction, the car is sitting in Port Hueneme since September 5. Apparently, it's waiting for the EPA to finish its business.

It's a VO and White MCS. That's been my dream color combination for a long time. I considered the F56 to be a sign that now is the time to get my own.

WAIT ! It really is worth the wait folks-2 weeks in and my VO cooper never ceases to amaze-never had such a refined economical , luxurious , fabulous looking car! I am totally and utterly 100% impressed and that's from someone who's gone from a 2010 cooper s. you will not regret waiting for this car; it really is that good (and won Autoexpress car of the year this year!!!-in the uk).

The MINI factory is on shutdown this week, returning on 29th September.

I ordered in May and was meant to arrive first week of September. Has now been delayed to DECEMBER with no reason. Not only that, Mini UK point blank refused to give me a courtesy car and told my dealership not to give me a demo car of theirs to use because I'm under 21!

Awful customer service so far from Mini UK and I hate it when companies treat me differently because of my age. I still am paying the same amount as anyone else!
Grrr, sorry for the rant but it's really upsetting me. I just want my car!

I ordered mine on June 14th and Prod is July 23rd. This EPA thing has been so long and sooooo annoying

Great post . . . For the love of Mini!!

I purchased my son a a new Mini S as a graduation gift in 05 as he earned a College football scholarship. He just sold it after 170k miles & decided to pleasure myself and ordered a Pepper White loaded Mini S / built on my birthday (July 7) and now in port.

In spite of the Mini dealer here in Detroit who is clueless . . . No communication . . . 20 year old salesman . . . Trying to keep my spirits up . . .

I know that it's all very frustrating & much of this is caused by poor communication but stick with it as it'll be worth it in the long run.The customisation is fantastic although I do feel that mini could have made it easier on themselves & long suffering "waiters" by not providing varying specs for diffiernt countries.Surely it would have been simpler to offer a global spec with options for different markets.All this talk of "Mine's a UK spec so maybe your US spec is different" would have been unnecessary.One car equals one manual.
And as for shutting down the factory, yet again, is simply nonsensical.Sell while your winning should be a watchword for any business.Still as I said earlier "The wait will be worth it !"

By the way, the factory did not shut down in August, this is their first shut down. I called three different numbers to verify this, the factory itself, the UK MINI customer service and MINI Corporate.

So all that being said....I am no longer waiting on my Cooper Hardtop but in line for a short wait on my Countryman that has already been built and awaiting shipment.
