To be fair it was not a problem with the MINI, more a case of wrong place wrong time. Driving in traffic and there is a very loud bang and next thing I know I'm covered in glass. :(

MINI now at the dealers and should be ready tomorrow. :)

I suspect that a stone was thrown up by a whipper snipper being used on the central verge as I drove past; can't really prove it but remember seeing a couple of guys working on the verge just as it happened.

Had to google what a whipper snipper is

Sucks but at least it didn't hit bodywork - glass is easily replaced :)

Poor you.quite a shock I'll bet .glad you're ok and the screen is an easy fix!

Had that happen once in a hire car in Cork, rear side window. Couldn't drive away fast enough, thought we'd been shot!
