After 4 months of trying to fix the rattling Windows I will find out tomorrow if replacing all of the moving parts in the window mechanism has worked.
The car is exactly one year old (done over 10,000 miles) and in that time it has worked like a new car..

Keeping my fingers crossed! I've read about the problems you've had on here Souper...You are friggin patient.

Ever since I started visiting this forum, I've always been astounded how some people don't have a single problem with the car, while others have a ton. I honestly don't understand the huge variation in quality. Does MINI really have that crappy of quality control? How can some cars be solid as a rock and other be put together with scotch tape?

The only reason I've been patient is that most of the faults my car has (had) have been design rather than mechanical failure. If it were mechanical failure I'd be 'disappointed'

So, just one year and two days after getting my new mini it might has no apparent faults.
