Hey guys,

Top Gear UK started again last night, albeit with a new cast including Matt LeBlanc.

I liked the fact they're using a MINI for their guests to do laps in, albeit I wouldn't class a Cooper with the JCW Chilli pack and £600 LED auxiliary lights as a reasonably priced car. It did however make me admire the looks and proportions of the car all over again.

I don't think Chris Evans used the words reasonably priced car in the end, more like "2 stars in a brand new rallycross car".

Anyway thanks Brandon for a TG thread that's not slagging the new show off, too many Clarkson fanboys who are not giving the new team a chance. :D I've not watched it all yet as we were a bit late getting back from the Thistle Run, but what I did see was entertaining enough.

I mean they'll never replace Clarkson and I must admit I did cringe at some points through the first episode but I'm sure once they get in to the swing of things it'll be a good show.

Well you say it needed change , if change means the same! They've tried to keep the same format but unfortunately they simply do not have the chemistry to pull it off. Yes they've changed bits and pieces but nowhere near enough to put their own stamp on it.

Yes I agree it was definitely cringe worthy in places. Whilst Clarkson can be a total bell end, he and the other two did have that witty banter between them that really made the show. I'll watch a few episodes of this one but it needs to improve dramatically to keep my intererest!

Although obviously that is where the money is, it is trying to appeal, overmuch for me, to the international audience.

I thought the UK had long since become tired of Gordon Ramsay, and who on earth was the little squeaky chap who was competing with him in the Cooper...he was a new "star" to me.

The Cooper handled well though.
