Hi fellow motorers,

Would you kindly settle a debate between myself and my younger brother? What is the projected top speed of the 2016 Mini Cooper (not S/JCW), and is it speed governed?

Thanks!

(and i have driven much faster cars that didnt do that to me!) tee hee!

Man on my test drive when we hit the freeway I was doing <speed redacted> before I even thought to look at the speedometer. Talk about embarrassing 'Oh ...right... speed limits...'.

If I remember in the past when I had my Cooper (not my JCW) then in Germany I had it at around 225km/h indicated on the speedo, so probably like 215km/h in reality. That was foot to the floor and it was pretty flat, straight on the autobahn (A5 past Karlsruhe headin' up Frankfurt way).
