Hi

I have a 2015 5 door cooper S fitted with conventional ( not run flat) 205/45 R17 tyres.

I have inflate ewe to the pressure shown on the door pillar, the ride is very hard. What pressures should be used for conventional tyres?

My 5 door MCS, has 17's non run flats, the tyre label in the door lists two sets of pressures for 205/45R17s which confused me at first when I went to set them in the dark one night. In the day light I realised one was for M+S, which was higher than the normal tyres. Have you set the tyres to the M+S setting?

The owner's manual may list different pressures for loading, i.e. number of passengers & luggage. The door sticker usually shows full load so with just driver there could be a lower permitted pressure. Non run-flats are softer riding by nature but use the same pressure for same size.
