I've watched videos similarly, but really as a showcase to friends on what the car can do.


I'd love to know if it's possible to stream videos from a mobile device, usefully, for example watching back a TV programme from last night through an app.


There are a few occasions in life when you can be stuck in a car on an unplanned basis....

Not really sure.
Video was on a USB stick and was MP4 format.
Insert the USB drive in the slot and call it up on the media menu to play.

There might also be a restriction in the US models where video is disabled. I don't know. I was thinking of going to my mechanic and see if he knows the skinny.

Anyone connect this car to a diagnostic computer yet? Maybe there's a setting that can be changed...

Same here. Video files just don't show up under additional media. Only podcasts and books. I'm waiting to hear from MINIUSA about it, but suspect that it's been disabled for the standard package. I'm still wondering if it could somehow be recoded.

I downloaded some mp4 vids to my usb stick and it works fine, audio also.

the image is even bigger than what's shown on @crobson1969 video. when i play .mkv videos the image is like that, with black stripes on both sides bt .mp4 is full wide screen

looks amazing eheh always good when you have to wait in the car just waiting for someone that can unrestrict the car safety while driving

Leslie, did you get your VO Cooper yet? I just ordered one last week. I'm told mid-October but facing the same EPA debacle. I hadn't considered the VO until my wife told me I would like it. I think my Mini is really her Mini. Hmmm.
