Thought I would add my very own dedicated order thread!

We ordered a VO MCS on the 19th August - VO, black mirrors and roof, black Cosmos rims.

Car is pretty much fully loaded with the exception of HUD and Panoramic Roof - I annoyingly missed of the JCW spoiler and didn't realise until it was too late.

We don't have a delivery date yet however BMWarchive.org says the car was built on the 13th September.

We can't wait to take delivery!

Picked up our VO MCS yesterday evening :D

In summary; what a fabulous car!

The initial impact the car generates is that it is complete. The only thing letting what is I think an almost perfect chassi down are the tyres; the factory specified Michelin Primacy rubber is a mistake on the MCS - PS2 or 3 or even Eagle F1's should be on the car; the issue isn't mechanical grip but progressiveness and direction changing, if you shift direction rapidly you can feel the sidewalls straining and leaning....still gripping though I hasten to add!

But that is it! I have owned an e61 M5, e93 M3 and an RS3 and it isn't the bravado of the moment talking when I say that within the limits of what is acceptable on the road this little car has the better more exploitable chassis.

This engine and gearbox combination are remarkable, ratios perfectly spaced, awesome breadth of torque delivery and a great noise - needs the JCW pipes though in MHO.

Given that you can replace all four tyres for the price of one or two from one of the previously mentioned cars that may well be done sooner rather than later....having said that though, I will put 500 miles on them first just to confirm.

Love it love it love it!

Right, off to play :D

I know....completely mad.

Talking with my dealer and the car went from open status to pretty much finished over a few days!

Quality of the car is fantastic. I put a sealer coat onto the paint today and t looks amazing...it does though now need a wash; after a 4 hour 'mini' detail (no pun intended) I took it off for a photoshoot only to end up honing about and buring through a quarter of a tank of Shell's finest...there are now a gazillion dead bugs over the screen and nose.

Doing my own break in (not exceeding 5krpm) and still having a riot. This 2 litre motor delivers torque in a way I have not experienced before.....and again, the noises! Got my local dealer briefed on the JCW pipe and ECU map...they will be in touch!

Again....love it love it LOVE IT!
