Hi all, I'm trying to discover how to search for a track/artist/playlist using voice commands. I have the Visual Boost, and Enhanced BT with Voice Control. Also have HK, but don't expect that affects Voice Command.

I've tried various music sources, but the best I've got is to change source with Voice, whereby she comments "continue with controller".

I'd like to be able to say "search artist Pink Floyd" or "search album Dark Side of the Moon". You get the idea, Can it be done? Is it music source/device dependant?

You open media and your hard drive then ,simply say album or artist (think its find but it could be sesrch, but you can get it to tell you the list of commands) and away she goes.

Jeremy, I don't have XL and don't have the HDD, do you know if it works for USB or Snap-in or BT?
Have you ever actually used it and got it to work? Cheers.

Sorry yes i used it quite successfully to find albums and artists on the hard drive but got fed up using it for anything else. She rarely understood phone address book details for example. Not sure if it works on external devices sorry! Never tried it.

I use a USB drive for my music and use the voice commands to select certain tracks "track name of track" or "artist then Artist name" although I have XL

Although it's not completely foolproof it does get confused & opens up random things when it miss understands

Thanks for the feedback... wonder if it is an XL only feature then? I'm encouraged though, I'll go talk to my car some more!

I don't have XL and it works fine for me, either from my iPhone or a usb stick
