fb, there is nothing ...I repeat ..Nothing wrong with your car!!! Beautiful color...everything that you would want.. it has. From my own personal experience I can tell you that sometimes it is like the luck of the gods when selling or not a single tidbit of interest. Selling a car is usually a long process because of that. I usually bite the bullet and just trade into the next vehicle. Yeah they underball most of the time but you can get lucky there sometimes too because they need a sale. Hold out ...you will sell her , she's a beautiful color and car. Good luck!!!

I can't comment on price given I'm in the UK, but if it were my advert I would remove or re-take the pictures that show the reverse camera error (I believe that it what the screen with diagonal lines means) and stick with the ones showing the image correctly.

I doubt this would put anyone off, but you never know!

I've always sold my cars quickly, but then I do price them at the least I would be happy with, rather than building any wriggle room. I prioritise getting the car moved on quickly, rather than holding over for every last cent. Not suggesting this is the case, just thought I would share my approach (and I've sold LOADS of cars over the years).

Hope this helps, good luck.

Whenever I’ve sold vehicles privately I’ve had success (sold in a few hours each time) , with the following, in this order:
  • Take all pictures in a tidy leafy middle class area avoiding wheelie bins, kids toys or cleaning equipment in shot. You might retake pictures to avoid showing the interior of your garage, pull the door down. Avoid any pictures with amber or red lights or images showing, even if this is as designed.
  • State engine, output, and transmission first e.g 192hp 2.0 Turbo, Automatic With Paddle shift.
  • List key spec according to Mini e.g Tech pack / Chili Pack in bullet points, it makes you appear organised and makes it easy to read, don’t list floor mats ahead of sunroof.
  • State full service history and show a picture of receipts or on board record.
  • State car is in as new condition and state number of owners. State car is ready for next owner to enjoy You might comment you found the little car is sporty and economical.
  • State simple, truthful reason for sale e.g new car (if a sedan or suv, state this, to show its different, not better) forces sale - no need to embellish this and avoid exclamation marks - it could seem like you are desperate to sell which is suspicious - perhaps you are now short of money - an indication you skimped on servicing, perhaps you have a lemon and that’s why the dealer refused a trade in.

No reason why the car shouldn’t sell quickly, it’s very clean.

I'd spruce up the engine bay. Make the plastics shine. Price
Look at any online that near match yours and price it just below.Remember if they're online theyve not sold so you need to undercut them.

Thanks for the feedback, I’ve made adjustments to the as and the photos. Re the price, AutoTrader says this:
Median Listing Price: $16,050
Median Sold Price: $15,450

it seems I’m right there, so I don’t think price should be a deterrent to some interest. Who knows, hoping to move it on soon without giving it away.

Appreciate all the comments.

Back in 2020 when I decided to sell my 2018 JCW I sold it to a local MINI dealer. Sale was pretty straight forward. It helped probably that I had the car serviced there and the used car appraiser had this info at her fingertips although I brought along all the service invoices.

No pics. No ads. No tire kickers. No test drives. No one coming to my house.

I thin your price seems in the market average (I researched $14.3K as average for this year/model), but there may be too many of these on the market and it's just not going to move as fast as you'd like. Lowering the price would be the easiest way to get more potential buyers, but I understand your reluctance.

I can't tell when you listed it, so unsure of how long it's been but you might need more patience.

There is nothing wrong with the car, it hasn't been seen by its next owner.
