In between the rear window defrost switch and the recirculate air switch there is a small black button. I don't know what it does, I can't find it in the manual. I've pushed it, it seems to do nothing. Hope someone can educate me.

I don't have my car yet however I saw in a You Tube review that when you place your finger on the toggle switch to start the car it glows even redder as if in preparation for you to start the car.

I always assumed this button was the sensor that sensed your finger was placed just above the toggle switch.

That is a direct Link/Sensor to BMW in Munich with a built in Camera. Somebody in Munich is watching all the Mini Drivers 24 Hours if they pick there Noses at Red Lights.:nerd:

Honestly I have NO CLUE what this is. Do you have a Tracking Devise like Low Jack in your Mini so the Police can find it???

It's the sensors for the keyless fob, it picks it up so that you can use start button
The sensor for the fob is in the steering wheel I believe. If you look on the side of the wheel on the righ hand side you'll see a key logo. That's so if your fob's battery dies it can still somehow read the key data.

I thought it was to sense the other sensors to ensure they were sensoring correctly
Who will bid 5 cents for the slightly nonsensical yet sensational theory? We need a consensus here as to how sense the seriousness of the sensor situation without censoring, or censuring any sensible ideas. As long as they are sense-able. I will go ask my Sensei for advice I think. Does that make sense?
