I very much doubt, that after a year of ownership, rejecting the car will be taken seriously.
Not having been in your situation it's difficult to know what I would do, however, if you really do actually like the brand, and think that you just have a Friday afternoon car, I would petition your dealer for a VERY good deal to exchange it for another new car.
This will help them as a new car on the books is always good, but before doing so, go to an alternative dealer and get a price for a deal, so you have a baseline to work from.
Speak to the dealer principal or head of sales. A busy Saturday afternoon always works well as I find that a raised voice with other customers about tends to get more attention
I just think that after this amount of time you won't get get very far with an outright rejection.
