Wheel spacers and warranty

I'm toying with the idea of getting the JCW Pro Coilovers fitted to my new MCS, as I'd prefer it to sit a bit lower.

I've seen forum posts where people have had their F56's lowered but as a result, it can really highlight how much overhang there is from the wheel arches and some people have had spacers fitted to bring the wheels out more inline with the arches, otherwise the wheels can look a bit lost.

I was wondering if the addition of wheel spacers (if done by my mini dealership) would void the warranty in any way?

Also, has anyone here had the JCW Pro Coilovers fitted to their F56 MCS, and perhaps had wheel spacers added?

If you do a search for 'R99's build thread', you'll find some info about coilovers (and spacers i think).

The car is now owned by tweedbean (@tweedbean on instagram) and it's on KW Variant 1's.
I can't remember exactly how much the JCW Pro Coilovers are but I'm fairly sure they're more expensive than the KW's at £1000.

The JCW Pro Coilovers are actually made by KW so you wont have to worry about quality, which leaves the question, why pay the extra for the JCW ones?
Sure, getting the JCW coilovers means you wouldn't void warranty but it's only the warranty for the suspension that would be voided if you went with the KW's, and the coilovers will replace all stock suspension parts anyway. The KW coilovers also come with their own 2 year warranty so if you have any issues with them, just phone up KW and they'll sort it out.

I went with KW's only because I previously had variable dampers and Mini confirmed to me that the JCW Pro suspension is not available for my car and if I had them fitted (by third party) the warranty on the suspension would have been void as they were not designed for a car spec'ed with variable dampers.

If I had the passive std. suspension I would have chosen the JCW Pro suspension as to not have any warranty issues.

It's possible to get good deals on the JCW Pro suspension if you shop around.

As for the spacers... I suspect the only parts that could possibly be void are the connecting parts to the spacers and possibly wheel bearings perhaps. Maybe check with your dealer to be 100% sure I guess if you are worried.

I wouldn't mention the use of spacers to the dealer....

Any change to the suspension or wheel set up will void the warranty on that area of the car. I'm looking at getting lowering springs as I've got Variable Dampers so coilovers are not going to work for me.

I did look at wheel spacers also, 10-12mm just to fill out the arches. Im undecided if it's worth it yet, remap is next on the shopping list.
