Hi

Was just wondering where the Mini production plant(s) are placed. Is there one for Europe and one for America ?

Or do the ship oversea one way or the other ?

Hopefully I will order my M.C. tomorrow on my birthday even.. Nice gift for my self ;) Just wondering where they produce them for the Central European market ?

Countryman/Paceman are made in Austria, all others depend on the last 7 digits of the VIN. If it starts 2 or T it is made in Oxford, if it is 3, it is made in Born, Netherlands.

Each plant produces for all countries. Only the volume differs between the plants. Depending on the number in your VIN you can determine in which plant your MINI has been build:

2xxxxxx: BMW/MINI Oxford
Txxxxxx: BMW/MINI Oxford
3xxxxxx: VDL Nedcar, Born, The Netherlands

Countryman/Paceman are build at Magna Steyr in Austria.

For F56 models: Born produces Coopers and Ones. Oxford produces Ones, Coopers, Cooper S and JCW.

Oxford also produces the R57 (old convertible, based on R56). There is no convertible version of the F56 yet.
