I try go with the paranoid parking frame of mind, but I wonder if its worth the worry?
I got keyed (see my recent thread) parked on a Naval base when parked next to a disabled bay which is always empty.
The only reason I can think of as to why this happened is that I stole somebody's favourite spot. I guess you can overthink these things, at the end of the day if someone is a vandal/careless you can't avoid damage to your car unless you've constantly got eyes on it.
