Hi everyone,

New MINI owner here, finally posting after a few months of lurking.

Unfortunately, I've managed to slightly catch a wall with my passenger side mirror caps as I was reversing into a tight space.

I have a tiny scuff, but it's enough to annoy me that I would like it changed. However, it seems a bit of a nightmare trying to find replacement mirror caps which aren't union jacks or some other non-plain colour.

I contacted one dealer, but they said they only supply the caps unpainted.

Anyone got any ideas?

Agreed, eBay or buy the primer caps from the dealer and have them painted.

Thanks both - Ebay was my first port of call.

Spotted a pair of Pepper White caps, but I don't think they'd quite look right. My Cooper is blazing red with a (Brilliant?) White roof. I'd say the Pepper White would look a bit off/discoloured against the roof.

Was secretly hoping that someone from the UK on here might have swapped theirs for a different pattern and would be willing to sell, but I guess I can't post in the Classified section because I'm a newbie.

I've managed to find a dealer that can get one painted in my colour - waiting for the cost to come back (expecting it to be quite high though!)

I would say eBay or maybe check junkyards for white mirror caps. They only come primered new and the paint labor costs can balloon the cost. Alpine White is the color though, if you need to refer to it.

Check local dealers' service departments too, sometimes they have spares laying around from swaps they may be willing to sell you.

Yes and it really isnt too difficult to get a good fin ish yourself with rattle cans. Plenty of thin coats plenty of drying time e then t cut and polish. Halfrauds have a paint matching service so willmake up an aerosol for you but plenty of motorfactors do similar.
