Winter wheels and tyres fitted

Dear all as promised; my DEZENT winter wheels and tyres fitted to my Cooper to save my lovely 17" Cosmos from salt and me hopefully from ice! Fitting was a game-bought genuine tpms's from mini and the length of valve stem is very marginal so had to use my bike pump to get air into them! All sorted though and I think the quality is good(made in Germany) paint coating seems thick and well finished and they came with full fitting kit of bolts (not used as same as mini) and spigots. VERY pleased overall ; cost-had the tyres but they are around £70 each, TPMS valves and £260 and fitting £75 at mini (inc balance) and £290 inc p and p for the wheels. Sorted! Ps pics show Jasper with Cosmos and then the DEZENTS

I finally received my winter tire set for my new Mini JCW.

I’ll swap my summer tires and wheels with these toward the end of October. Hopefully, the winter this year and into next year is very mild.

Update: Today I swapped my summer tire and wheel set to the winter tire and wheel set. The 17” wheels do accommodate the large JCW front brake caliper system. The dealer ensured this would work because this set is the only option (you can choose a black wheel too I think). As you can see in the second picture, the tolerance between the wheel and front calipers is very small. Nonetheless, the car is ready for the winter season here in Germany. I miss Spain - no need for winter tires

Is that not a bit early? Mine normally go on early December.
As for me, freezing temperatures are present. Last year, my area had some flurries around this time of the year. However, the first snowfall was on the first week of December.

Secondly, I had my friend help me transport the winter set to the garage where we changed the summer set. He had time during this weekend, so the changeover was convenient. Otherwise, I would be making a total of 4 trips back-and-forth from my place to the garage. My Mini can only accommodate 2 wheels in the car (rear seats folded down) per trip :p.

Important note: mark your summer sets (wheel and tire) before you swap to your winter sets so that you know the previous wheel/tire locations when you swap again in the summer. Some people may be mid-way through their previous tire rotation maintenance schedule and will want to continue the same setup in the summer to keep the wheels evenly worn.
