Hi

I'm curious what information I am suppose to see in the HUD when I have the car in sport mode ?

I have seen pictures online with the gear number showing in the circle?

People have also mentioned the lines on the outside of the circle (left and right side) are not showing but will start to show when you rev hard ?
I have also read that the lines show as standard but when you rev hard, they change colour ?

On my HUD I see the circle with the lines showing on the outside of the circle (left and right side)
BUT no gear number and the lines are static meaning they show as standard but they do not change colour or show when rev hard ?

Any ideas on this please ??

Are we talking manual or auto?
Had a play with our auto today. You get the gear number when ever you switch to using the paddles. The only time you get the bars on the side light up is if your in sport gearbox and using the paddles as the car won't shift for you so flashes up the bars.

Thanks for that, I played around just like you and yeh you're right.

I wish it showed what gear I was in without having to use paddle shifts

You can opt to have the sports mode settings display in the HUD so basically I have a rev counter with the gear selected in the middle and the speed and speed limit.

How ? And is that just in auto and not using paddle shifts ?

It doesn’t photograph very well but this is what I have which is the sports display which you can either have active in just sports mode or all the time. It has the rev counter, gear selected, speed limit and current speed.

Amazing, 16k miles and I'd always wondered why my car didn't do it, I've never noticed the information displayed option! Thanks for posting this up.

I think people need to clarify if thier talking about Auto or Manuals as the behaviour is very different between the 2.

Shifter left it displays gears if you are changing manually or its in auto in any mode. Shifter right or default position it doesnt show gears until you touch the paddles.

Im assuming you all know that it still shifts automatically if you put the shifter to the left and its reading "s" on the display? I didnt actually twig this until 2 months ago after owning it since December!! 😂

I also found that with shifter to the left and "M" displayed you can hold the left paddle and it will downshift automatically to the correct gear but I think its just toggling between manual and "s" auto mode if that makes sense.

Holding down the left paddle will downshift to the best gear for acceleration in any shifter or drive mode in my 8 speed auto. Also holding the right paddle will switch back to full auto.

Yes agree and that's why I stated 2022 lci2 in description
As I believe they only make automatics 2022 and onwards?

Wait I'm confused!!

Are you saying that if I move gear stick left from the default position , the car will still change gears automatically ? (Not touching paddle shift)

What's the point of having that option of moving gear stick to the left then if it changes gears automatically ?

I just press the sport button and I assumed that changed everything to sport mode including gear response etc

Is that not the case ?

Yes, so you shift it left and the dash display shows S. It then shifts automatically in the sportier setting until you touch the paddle. When you touch the paddle it reads M and stays in manual until you either hold the paddles as mentioned above.
what’s weird is it’s like there are actually two sport modes one with the mid setting and one when you actually switch it.
