I have just bought a 2017 Mini Cooper F55, and I’m getting warning messages about Cruise Control Failure, and sometimes Speed Limit Failure. I’m not using either of these functions at the time.
The dealer has checked the error codes but they don’t tell him much, and every time he takes it for a test drive there are never any messages appearing.
I’ve been trying out different things and have now found that these messages only appear when I have an ‘External Device’ connected to the multimedia. This can be a USB stick playing music, or it can be a phone connected via bluetooth. If I’m listening to the radio, there’s no problem.
Has anyone else had this problem?
I know some people have had these messages appear and it’s been a problem with the slip ring. But I’m not sure if my problem is the same, as it’s only when I have an External Device connected.
