This should work in auto without having to mess with the flasher. Are you sure you have it on? It's under SETTINGS --> LIGHTING. Only works if it's dark out though.
It does work on AUTO but the lights turn off as soon as I lock the car from the key fob while it doesn't when I do it the other way.

Interesting...what do you have the timer set for?

First time I heard that story it supposedly happened to a VW. I can't imagine it unless it's a poorly installed windshield - even then it would kinda just go poof and dislodge.

It does in fact make the doors easier to shut, my own experience.
Usually the windows crack from too much pressure, never heard of one blowing out.

The timer is set to 20s. I'll play more with the Auto Headlight switched on with more delay on the timer and see if the lights will stay on after locking the car with the remote.

A)

You can use the DSC/007 Button even in the Green Mode

B)

the Engine shuts off in Neutral with the E Brake on when the Engine cut off switch is activated and you open the Driver S:eek:ide Door

so if you planing on robing a 7/11 and want to idle for a quick get a way remember to set the cut off in the up Position.:nerd:

yes Christian is right got out of mine and walked off to post a letter and it carries on running so a thief could've driven off in it and I assume it wouldn't restart when he eventually stopped. He could then play with the obd port at leisure in some secret hideaway so be careful folks or am I wrong?

You could be right, i hope not though. My thoughts are that it must have a range/distance it can be away from the key before it cuts out. God i hope so anyway.

It won't cut out, just because that could be very dangerous. Imagine the following:

You're at a gas station on the side of the highway, you filled up but put your key on the roof. You start the car and drive off, but your key falls off the roof. You just get on the highway and the engine cuts out... That could end in a pretty horrific accident.

You could say that about and cut out that could happen on a motorway, I know my friends Toyota cuts out so far away form the key as I moved it for a prank and got just around the corner and it cut out, still had time to pull over due to coasting >:D

That does it. I'm staying inside, wrapped in Bubble Wrap. The world is too dangerous.

I'm not sure why, but this is one of the features I'm most looking forward to having. For some reason the idea of just getting into my car, flipping the switch and driving away is super cool.

But now I will have to guard against going to the garage, jumping in and not realizing I forgot the key. I can just see myself pulling into work... hey, I'll be back in 40 minutes... I forgot my car key and have to drive home to get it...

Except you won't be able to start the car again, so it'll be "Hey, can I have a ride home? I forgot my car key..." and seeing the look of confusion on your co-workers face as they glance at your car through the window...

I was assuming just enough personal paranoia that I would notice just before shutting the car off, then having to explain my already running car to the confused co-workers LOL. But yeah, that would be infinitely worse. Hey! Who wants to drive 40 miles round trip so I can get home tonight?!

There some confusion here, the car is very sensitive I have to be in the driver's seat or in it for it to start range doesn't seem bhuge ,not investigated but no key no start! Once under way you could chuck the key out the window.as long as you don't switch off you can carry on .it's only on a restart you need the key! Don't panic it works well.Never put keys on car roof it'll scratch

Here's one I just discovered.

When cruise control is on and active, you can shift gears (manual transmission) and it will still maintain the speed you set. Other cars I've had will disengage cruise control when the clutch is depressed. It's cool but forced me to retrain myself a bit.

Sideview mirror issue

I recently took delivery of a 4 dr hardtop. Sales person told me the new Minis all come with a passenger sideview mirror that automatically turns down when the car is in reverse so you can see the curb. Mine did not do that and was told that some just don't come that way. Am I being bulshitted? Anyone else have this issue?

Curb monitor requires the power fold mirrors to be equipped.
