Hello!

I have a 2016 mini Cooper s with jcw tuning kit. Got it when I bought my the car and added the kit through the dealer.

Had been using it as since 2015, but now interested in squeezing a little more power via ECU. Was thinking of buying one bypass chip tuning kit such Racechip or such.

I saw that they jcw kit included an updat possibly how does it affect chip tuning? Should I go through dyno? Or does it matter as long as I get a bypass for mini Cooper s?

Thank you for all your help!
Hi
The official tuning package was the Pro exhaust with bluetooth for opening the 2nd flap and also the tune which took the car from the claimed 189bhp to 210bhp, this was also fitted to the Cooper S Works 210 models (hence 210 badge).

I had a Works 210 a couple of years ago and had it remapped, the remap gives any Cooper S or 210 model the same figures afterwards as it overwrites the 210 map.

On the dyno my car made a claimed 236bhp before the remap (just had a K+N panel filter fitted) and afterwards made a claimed 276bhp. This can vary from car to car as not all engines are identical
