I read a post recently about Mini recommending tyre pressures which are higher than ideal, presumably in the name of economy/emissions and overestimating the weight burden from most users
Can anyone recommend what I should be running at with my F56 JCW on 17" 205 / 45 non-run flat tyres?
I'm in the UK and drive all year round, and usually have myself and one other person on board.
If it helps, I'm after comfort and performance above any sort of economy or tyre longevity, providing the latter factors aren't forsaken by a stupid amount, like half!!
Out of curiosity, would a lower pressure provide more cushioning from impact at the expense of faster wear - I drive on country roads so my tyres quite often don't tend to last long enough to wear out before the broken roads claim them ...
Thanks
