Union Jack Dash Trim 2018+ Models - Retrofit

Hello everyone.
For F56 owners from 2014 to 2017: has anyone considered upgrading the passenger side dash trim to the union jack (with LED lighting)?
I thought of this possibility, but I can't find the part code to search the internet.
Has anyone done the adaptation? Does anyone know the code of the parts that are required?

I Don't know, but it is possible, use the wires from your led in the mini, or the wires from the led ring.
In the 2019 mini, it's installed from the led ring.
I will look a littlebit further how to wire this thing [emoji106]

Hello everyone.
Apologies for the long downtime. I bought the part 51456819876, but soon after I decided to sell the JCW 2017 and buy a brand new 2020. Before selling the JCW 2017, I disassembled the glove compartment and noticed that it would be possible to install it, just pull the LED wires that illuminate the feet. Hope this helps.

I'm thinking about buying this part I have a 2020 JCW F56 and when I bought it I had hoped to get the illuminated dash but it wasnt on the one I bought. I wanna know if its basically plug n play.

I had fitted the part to the panel of my previous car (JCW 2017). The fit is perfect, plug and play. I didn't the electrical connection, because I decided to buy a JCW 2020 soon afterwards, which already has the union jack led, but I realized that the wires can be connected from the foot illumination, under the panel, on the right side.

The BMW part code for black dash is 6819876-02, as you can see from the attached photo.

yes I did. Many thanks to Sarath the guy who replied #12. Told me to just buy the part and connect it through the footwell.

When I bought the part it should've come with 4pin repair kit in order to connect it to the module LED that already come with the dash. So right now I'm waiting for that repair kit.

since your car is 2020, I believe the connectors is already there behind the dash

What do you mean by 4 pin repair kit, do uyou have an part numbers or photos of this please?

So a small update i took mine to a MINI dealer two hours from me and they were extremely helpful. They said my wiring harness was the same as one with the dash piece in it. They charged me $70 to go in to look if the wires were there and they were. They installed the piece and now the only downside is the lights aren’t on. They need to be coded for activation and the dealership I guess doesn’t have the line code for that so they have to wait for a update from MINI/BMW. Hoping I can find the line code sooner than later. So the 2019’s and up have the wires in the back.

I contacted this guy about it HStewart@chandlers-bmw.co.uk and he will have the part next week to check it’s the right one before I buy it.
I removed my glovebox and the 3 connection plugs are there but don’t know it it will require coding mine is a Nov 2019 JCW

sorry should explain better mate, obviously there is the trim piece behin the dash as well, won’t these need to be matching ? also do you have a pic of the plug behind the glove box, mines a 2016 so I doubt it’s going to be there so might have to try retrofitting the wires

There is 3 cables that have 4 wires each
I think you should be able to take feed from footwell lightings it has 5 wires but the other 4 match the colours for the Union Jack plugs
Will need to wait till it gets delivered but have stripped it out awaiting the panel

Connected to the existing wiring but not working so probably needs some sort of coding so half way there
